A passion for teaching

From time to time, people who have loved my work asked me to train them, sometimes in general photography and sometimes in specific areas. The more teaching I did, the more I realised that the world of photography is full of misconceptions and confusion.

I discovered that I enjoy helping to demystify it for people and love seeing the 'aha' moments when things fall into place. I am especially passionate about getting back to basics. I believe that once you have a solid foundation you can progress quickly in whichever direction you want to go.

Qualified

I gained my Licentiate with BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photographers) in 2009 and then in 2014 gained the highly prestigious Associateship status.

I am also a member of the Guild of Professional photographers, the SWPP (Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers) and SIFGP (Society of International Fashion & Glamour Photography) and have received a considerable amount of awards from them.

The Photographers Bar - In both February 2014 and 2015 I was awarded a bar of distinction by the Guild of Professional Photographers. This is a unique distinction awarded to photographers who have consistently demonstrated an exceptional level of professional skill and consistency over the course of a whole year. A distinction that is very difficult to achieve, let alone twice!!
